Privacy Policy

We minimize personal data collection. Public content pages are not tracked for marketing. Login, purchases, and customer support only collect what is needed to provide the service. Payments are processed by third-party providers; we do not store full card numbers.

Who we are

「四叶草创业网」(“we”, “us”) operates this website and related services (the “Service”), offering internet startup content, source/tools resources, and custom development consultation for founders and businesses.

Contact: use the email shown in the site footer, or the in-site chat support.

1) Information we collect

We collect only what we need:

A. Information you provide

  • Account details: phone or email, password (stored hashed), display name, and related account fields.
  • Contact details when you inquire about custom work, partnerships, or submit forms (e.g. name, WeChat, email, project description).
  • Order data for top-ups and source purchases: product, amount, payment status, timestamps. Full payment credentials are handled by payment providers; we do not receive or store full card numbers or payment passwords. We may receive limited metadata for invoicing, reconciliation, and fraud prevention (channel, transaction id, status).
  • Project materials, tickets, or support messages you send us.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Basic logs and security signals: access time, approximate network environment, device and browser type — for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
  • Session cookies / credentials (e.g. HttpOnly) to recognize you on authenticated pages (see section 3).
  • Preference cookies (if enabled), only to remember display preferences (see section 3).

C. Information from third parties

  • If you sign in with a third-party account (e.g. Google, QQ), we may receive identifiers and basic profile data within your authorization (nickname, avatar, unique user id), subject to that provider’s policy.
  • Payment results and limited ledger metadata from payment providers to confirm successful top-ups/purchases.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data categories for profiling or advertising.

2) How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the website and Service (accounts, browsing, download access).
  • Process top-ups, purchases, order inquiries, and after-sales support.
  • Communicate with you (service notices, support replies, security/account alerts).
  • Protect the Service (fraud prevention, abuse detection, risk control, compliance).
  • Send product/service updates where permitted by law or your consent; you may opt out of marketing messages.

3) Cookies and similar technologies

We may use:

  • Session cookies: required to keep you signed in.
  • Preference cookies: e.g. theme (if enabled), typically up to 365 days.

Language is chosen via URL path (e.g. Chinese vs English routes), not by serving different languages for the same URL based on cookies.

We do not use advertising cookies. Blocking cookies may affect login or preferences. You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

4) Payments

Top-ups and payments are handled by third-party payment providers, who may collect payment details directly (card/account data, tokens, fraud signals). We do not store full card numbers or CVCs. We only receive limited metadata needed to confirm transactions, reconcile accounts, and prevent fraud (see section 1A). Your use of third-party payments is also subject to their terms and privacy policies.

5) Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when:

  • Service providers process data on our behalf (hosting, payments, email, SMS, auth, security) under instructions and appropriate safeguards.
  • Professional advisors under confidentiality (e.g. legal, accounting).
  • Regulators / law enforcement when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers such as merger or acquisition, with notice where required by law.

6) Cross-border transfers

Data may be stored or processed outside your country/region due to hosting, cloud vendors, or third-party login/payment. Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable safeguards and prefer privacy-conscious options where feasible.

7) Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy (e.g. account lifetime, order and compliance retention), and to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We then delete or anonymize the data.

8) Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • access, correct, or delete personal data;
  • restrict or object to certain processing where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of marketing communications.

To exercise rights, contact us via the footer email or in-site chat. We may need to verify your identity.

9) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS, access control, and least privilege. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong unique password and protect your credentials.

10) Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 14 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page, and we may notify you where appropriate.
